Stained Glass Group
Stained Glass Group Information
Throughout its thousand-year history the term “stained glass” has been applied almost exclusively to flat glass windows of cathedrals and other religious buildings. Today, modern creations of stained glass include 3-dimensional structures, sculptures, and decorative pieces for art through which light passes.
Ten years ago Solera residents Bob and Pam Stahurski began the Stained Glass Group with 10 other residents interested in learning and creating decorative stained glass art. In 2018 the group was also one of three craft groups to merge and become the Handcrafted Creations Club.
Since the group’s inception it has has continued to meet twice a week
and have individually made artistic and decorative stained glass creations. The members continue to assist each other in planning and designing new projects, and enjoy the rapport among all the group members.
